Involvement in this fast-growing festival is easy!  Volunteers from the community are a large part of what makes the festival a success.  Groups may volunteer together or individuals may sign up.  There are also great sponsorship opportunities for local businesses to get their name out to the thousands that attend from the surrounding area and the state.  It's never too early to volunteer for next year!  For volunteer and sponsorship opportunities, as well as vendor, cook-off team and entertainment information, please contact the Bryan Parks & Rec Department at 979-209-5528, or visit the festival website at www.texasredsfestival.com

How is The Downtown Bryan Associaiton Funded?

We are a private, not-for-profit 501c3 association.  We receive a small grant from the City of Bryan and the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley, and are always researching and applying for other grants.  We are also funded through supporting memberships comprised of downtown businesses, local supporters and businesses in the surrounding counties.  Fundraising events are also an integral part of our funding.  What do we do with the funds we receive?  Funds are used to continue our hosting of Art Steps and First Friday events, including music, entertainment, and marketing.  We also utilize funding for operational expenses that include staff presentations to schools, civic groups, institutions, businesses, and individuals; attendance at city council meetings and public forums that focus on downtown and the surrounding area; downtown historic preservation, downtown merchant and member support, and marketing of the historic downtown district as a destination.
