Gifts & Gab is “the place to talk about.” Marilyn Ferguson had her shop on Texas Avenue but always felt like downtown Bryan was where she needed to be so she moved Gifts & Gab downtown a few years ago. Marilyn carries handmade gifts and accessories, glass art, pottery, mixed media, watercolors, woodwork and handmade jewelry. Gifts & Gab is located across from the LaSalle Hotel and next door to Country Boy Grill.
The LaSalle was recently purchased by Clarke & Wyndham, Inc. who have big plans for the landmark Downtown Bryan hotel. In addition to getting WiFi up and running throughout the hotel, the new owners are going to be “reinventing” the guest rooms and lobby as well as adding a wonderful new bar in the boiler room basement.
Clarke & Wyndham also purchased the Los Nortenos building on Main Street and will be renovating it to include a commercial kitchen. The building will be used as an event and meeting space that will accommodate events up to 275 people.
